As an independent art teacher to youth of many ages in extracurricular, alternative, and residential settings, I am witness to how these young people transform into happier and more confident individuals in even the shortest amount of time when allowed to paint within an environment of tolerance and celebration of the creative pursuit of their own vision.

Changes for Former Foster Care Youth

Health Care Alameda County California website, produces information and resources to all residents who are in need of free or low-cost health care. Affordable Care Act, starting January 1 2014, will provide free medical coverage (Medi-Cal) to former foster youth until age 26, there’s information on to enroll, when to enroll…and some information about youth who move out of state.
