The California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES), Criminal Justice/Emergency Management & Victim Services Branch, is soliciting proposals for the Family Violence Prevention (FV) Program for the 2014/2015 Fiscal Year (FY).
This grant is intended for projects which have prevention staff and provide prevention activities but need additional support and staff time to fully implement an existing prevention program.
Recipients must select an approved prevention approach and at least two strategies to implement (e.g., school education curriculum, social media campaigns, training programs, etc.). Prevention staff of funded projects will receive skills-based training, ongoing technical assistance, and networking opportunities through the Cal OES Statewide Domestic Violence Prevention Resource Center (PV) Program.
Approximately $120,000 is available for FY 2014/2015. Three proposals will be selected for funding and will receive an annual allocation of $40,000 for each year of the three-year funding cycle, beginning July 1, 2014 and ending June 30, 2017. Each grant period will be for twelve months. The first grant period begins July 1, 2014 and ends June 30, 2015. A non-competitive reapplication for continuation of funding must be submitted for the second and third year of funding.
