The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, under the Department of Health and Human Services has released an RFP to fund Youth Violence Prevention Centers (YVPCs).
The purpose of YVPC’s are to advance the science and practice of youth violence prevention and to reduce youth violence.
The YVPCs are academic centers that are expected to engage in reciprocally beneficial collaborations among researchers and non-governmental and governmental organizations (including the local health department) and one or more defined high-burden communities, with the common goal of reducing youth interpersonal violence.
