AfterSchool Alliance, Washington, D.C., $1 million to continue its efforts to ensure that children and youth — particularly those in underserved populations — will have access to engaging afterschool opportunities that inspire learning and achievement in school and in life. The grantee will also work with the 41 statewide after-school networks as a member of the national Afterschool Technical Assistance Collaborative.
Partnership for Children and Youth, Oakland, Calif., $30,000 to contribute to the Expanded Learning and Afterschool Project and the Learning in Afterschool & Summer Project. Blogs, videos, and articles by national afterschool and educational leaders will focus on engaged learning and learning time after school and in the summer. The grant will also support hosting a conference: How Kids Learn.
