Following Grant announced: December 5, 2012
The Gates Foundation has awarded 7 cities over $25 million to implement District-Charter Collaboration Compacts. These cities have been part of a competitive grant program to implement a collaborative partnership between public charter and district public schools. The awards will be used to hold joint professional development, support around implementing the common core state standards, creating individualized learning experiences, creating a universal enrollment system and developing common metrics to help families evaluate school options.
