Gund Foundation, Late Year Grants 2013

The Cleveland Based, Gund Foundation, announced after its November board meeting, that it has awarded $8.7 million to several organizations in Ohio. Grants were awarded throughout their Major Program areas, including the Arts, Economic Development, Human Services and the Environment.

The Foundation also gave several grants to organizations that targeted educational issues for youth and children within Ohio.

These Include:
The Cleveland Development Foundation for the Cleveland Transformation Alliance, $175,000 to support a public-private partnership responsible for ensuring accountability of all public schools in the city

Berea Children’s Home for Stepstone Academy, $100,000 to support a charter school in Cleveland’s Central neighborhood.

Ohio State University, Columbus, $166,486 over two years to link local farmers and school lunch programs.
