Following Grants Announced:  March, 2012

4Point0 Schools, New Orleans, La., $20,000 to train 500 people in its approach to problem solving and education and to help launch next generation schools and learning tools for parents and educators in the Mid South.

Girl Scouts – Diamonds Of Arkansas Oklahoma And Texas, North Little Rock, Ark.  $5,000 to bring the girl-scouting program to underserved areas of Arkansas.

Girl Scouts Heart of the South, Memphis, Tenn., $10,000 to bring the girl-scouting program to underserved areas of Arkansas and Mississippi.

Girl Scouts of Greater Mississippi , Jackson, Miss., $10,000 to bring the girl-scouting program to underserved areas of Mississippi.

Phoenix Youth And Family Services, Crossett, Ark., $50,000 for general operating support.

Pinebelt Association for Families, Petal, Miss., $25,000 for general operating support of the East Jerusalem Community for All Ages Initiative (CFAA)

Playworks Jackson, Miss., $25,000 to implement Playworks model physical activity and play program in seven low-income elementary schools.

Voices for Mississippi’s Children, Starkville, Miss. $30,000 to support professional development training to licensed childcare and afterschool instructors.
