Education, ongoing training, and experience are essential. However, a wealth of research has shown that intuition isn’t the best guide for complex decisions.

Impact Justice, New Juvenile Justice Outfit, Staffing Up Quickly

In March, we reported that National Council on Crime and Delinquency President Alex Busansky had left in fairly abrupt fashion to start a new shop: Impact Justice (IJ), an Oakland-based organization that begins with a mission to reduce “the number of people involved in our juvenile and adult criminal justice system,” improve “conditions for those who remain incarcerated,” and provide “meaningful opportunities for success for those rejoining our communities.”

Alex Busansky Leaves National Council on Crime and Delinquency to Start New Organization

National Council on Crime and Delinquency President Alex Busansky has left the organization after five years to start a new entity called Impact Justice. Busansky announced the move late last week on his personal Twitter account: “I am thrilled to announce the launch of Impact Justice, a national innovation and research center.”
