The Open Society Foundations and the Foundation Center announced on March 28, 2013 the launch of a new website to facilitate engagement, collaboration, and strategic decision making among funders, nonprofits, and policy makers working to promote positive outcomes for black men and boys in America.
The site builds upon the findings of the 2012 study, Where Do We Go From Here? Philanthropic Support for Black Men and Boys, which examined foundation funding and innovative initiatives focused on improving the well-being of black men and boys.
The site is sponsored by the Campaign for Black Male Achievement, in which Open Society Foundations have invested $50 million dollars over the past five years. The site provides funders with a way to access data and information highlighting the long term inequities of black men and boys.
