In the last entry in our series on the policy recommendations of California foster youth, we hear from California Youth Connection (CYC) advocates Trinity Lott and Bailey Villarreal about the need to find ways to help social workers be more responsive to the needs of foster youth.
Children’s social workers play an important role in making sure that youth achieve positive outcomes in California’s child-welfare system. In the video below, the two youths present ideas about the best way to hold social workers accountable to the practices that will help foster youth thrive and successfully transition from care.
